Erasmus+ Training Course | Benalmádena, Spain | 23–30 October 2023

EntrepreneurSelf marked the first official training course led by EuroMuévete, aimed at enhancing the capacities of youth workers in the fields of social entrepreneurship and digital innovation. Held in Málaga, Spain, the project gathered 32 passionate youth workers, leaders, and social entrepreneurs from Spain, Belgium, Italy, Romania, Turkey, Jordan, Georgia, and Tunisia for an immersive week of learning, collaboration, and inspiration.

A Shared Mission for Social Change

This Erasmus+ project was designed to equip youth workers with the tools and knowledge to promote entrepreneurship as a pathway to social and economic inclusion. All participants were active members of youth organizations in their home countries, bringing with them diverse experiences and a collective desire to empower their local communities through innovation.

Through non-formal education methods, the group explored entrepreneurship from both theoretical and practical perspectives. They engaged in peer learning, interactive workshops, expert sessions, and hands-on activities that allowed them to build concrete entrepreneurial skills and strengthen their role as multipliers of change.

What We Did

Key areas of focus during the training included:

  • Designing and evaluating social business models

  • Learning how to create websites and sell online

  • Using social media effectively for small business growth

  • Building a personal brand and setting clear career goals

  • Exploring tools for digital entrepreneurship and self-leadership

Participants also reflected on their values, goals, and motivations through dynamic sessions on self-awareness and leadership development.

Local Engagement & Cultural Exchange

Beyond the training room, the project also emphasized intercultural learning and community connection. Participants enjoyed:

  • Intercultural nights celebrating each country’s traditions, food, and music

  • A city-wide interactive game in Málaga to foster teamwork and local discovery

  • A visit to the Innova Entrepreneur Center in Benalmádena, where they met with local entrepreneurs and learned about real-life examples of social impact in action

These experiences offered insight into how social entrepreneurship works on the ground, while also strengthening bonds across cultures.

A Lasting Impact

EntrepreneurSelf empowered youth workers to support young people in transforming ideas into action. With improved digital tools, entrepreneurial mindsets, and greater confidence, participants are now better prepared to lead change, inspire innovation, and contribute to community resilience in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

Project coordinated by Asociación EuroMuévete and co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
